The Sacramento River from Redding to Red Bluff is one of the most prolific wild rainbow trout fisheries in the west. You can catch and release 25 trout a day on ultralight gear. Fish weighing up to five pounds and stretching 23 inches are common. An average daily catch is 15-20.

Trout Season is open year-round, but our season starts in February when we usually catch our biggest fish of the year. February through November are prime times for catching these hard-fighting rainbows on lures, and bait. We back-troll and drift for our best results!.
